Apparently I've been rather mopey and complain-y this week, so I'm taking this opportunity to "be salty" (see Matthew 5:13) and think about some things I'm thankful for!  <--Christopher Wilkins! He is such an encouragement to me, even when he is telling me to get over myself and stop complaining!   I'm finally finished with my Latin American Studies exam that I studied for all week. Don't you love that feeling?

I am graduating in December from Gettysburg and after much prayer, some stubborn protesting and alot of thought, I've decided to apply with MTW to spend the spring semester on the mission field. I'll be in either Acapulco, Mexico (working at an orphanage there) or Quayaquil, Ecuador (probably working with a crisis pregnancy center). I'm so excited about this opportunity to serve others and God in another culture, for four(ish) months. I'll be able to combine my Spanish skills, my love for Jesus and hopefully my love for kids (my top choice is Acapulco right now). I will need alot of prayer and finances for this trip.I have to raise somewhere around $10,000, so at the moment I am coming up with a list of friends and family to send letters to, asking for their prayers and any financial support they would like to/can give. If you would like me to send you a letter with more details, you can give me your name and address and I will gladly add you to my list.( Yes, I know, a shameless plug). I'll be writing more as I get more details about the trip and as it gets closer.
